Newtown Pippin
From $15.00Sale Price
An antique variety first discovered in Elmhurst (formerly Newtown), NY around 1759. Interesting fact: it was exempt from crown import tax because it was a favorite of Queen Victoria’s court. It was also a favorite of Thomas Jefferson who planted them at his Monticello orchard in 1778.
Great for snacking, desserts, making vinegar and cider.
